What Is Dr. Zubkov’s Approach to Care?
Dr. Zubkov’s philosophy is centered on treating the whole person—not just their teeth. He brings years of aesthetic dental training, clinical experience, and a strong sense of artistry to every case. His attention to detail ensures that each smile he creates is both stunning and natural-looking. Above all, he values the opportunity to help patients improve their quality of life through confident, healthy smiles.
What Is Dr. Zubkov’s Background and Experience?
A graduate of the School of Dental Medicine at SUNY Buffalo, Dr. Zubkov also completed advanced residency training at West Haven Veteran’s Hospital and Yale New Haven Medical Centre. He holds a Fellowship at the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Board of Implantology, the International Team for Implantology, and the International Congress of Oral Implantology.

The Person Behind the Practice
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Zubkov enjoys yoga, meditation, hiking, and scuba diving. He shares life with his wife, Bella, and their two children—as well as Gingi, their beloved office dog who brings comfort and joy to both patients and staff.

Jairahadeep Singh
Doctor of Dental Surgery
Jairahadeep Singh, affectionately known as Dr. J, is passionate about creating a comfortable and informative experience for every patient. A graduate of New York University’s College of Dentistry, Dr. J was involved in research on biomaterials, which deepened his understanding of the clinical procedures he was learning in real-time. He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and takes the time to walk patients through their treatment options, believing that a healthy mouth is essential to overall health. Before joining the team at Zubkov Dental, Dr. J practiced in Chicago, IL, and is currently an active member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Outside of the office, Dr. J is an enthusiastic explorer of the culinary world. He enjoys taking classes to refine his knife skills and latte art—and yes, he’s a self-declared coffee snob, always ready for a friendly debate over brews during your visit. In his downtime, he’s currently diving into yoga and learning the ropes on the tennis court.
Pooja Palaksha
Doctor of Dental Surgery
Dr. Pooja Palaksha is a dedicated dentist committed to delivering gentle, personalized care. She earned her DMD from Boston University and her MPH from the University of Texas, bringing both clinical skill and a strong public health perspective to her work. Dr. Pooja enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and focuses on building trust through patient education and a calm, compassionate approach. She stays current with the latest techniques as an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the Academy of Laser Dentistry.
Outside the office, Dr. Pooja enjoys hiking, cooking, and visiting national parks. She’s a proud mom to a young daughter and loves spending time with her husband and family.
Amanda
Dental Assistant
Amanda is a skilled dental assistant who brings both clinical expertise and a holistic perspective to patient care. A graduate of the dental assisting program at Tunxis, she also holds a background in massage therapy from Cortiva Institute, which enhances her ability to support patients with TMJ-related concerns. Her unique skill set allows her to assist with TMJ treatments and help patients feel more comfortable during procedures.
Amanda is passionate about educating patients on the important connection between oral and overall health. Outside the office, she enjoys camping, spending time with her family, and is certified in Reiki II, which reflects her interest in whole-body wellness.
Jodie
Office Manager
Jodie has been in the dental field since 1990 and with Zubkov Dental since 2016. She enjoys getting to know the patients and helping them afford the dental care they need. She is married with three sons and two dogs. When she’s not at work, she enjoys crocheting and traveling with her husband.
Illeana
Insurance Coordinator
Illeana has been in the dental field since 2006 and enjoys supporting her patients and spending time with her co-workers. When she’s not at work, she can be found working out, traveling, and spending time with her husband and three beautiful daughters.
Debbie
Dental Hygienist
Debbie has worked in the dental field since 1973 and enjoys educating patients on dental health while being part of the Zubkov Dental family. She is married to her husband, Steve, and has two sons, Steven and Alex. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, decorating, going for walks, and the occasional glass of wine.
Vera
Dental Assistant
Vera has been in the dental field since 1993 and enjoys helping patients improve the quality of their life and their smile. When she’s not at work, you can find her spending time outdoors hiking and kayaking, or spending time with her four pet bunnies.
Kamryn
Dental Hygienist
Kamryn joined Zubkov Dental in 2024 after earning her B.S. in Dental Hygiene from the University of New Haven. As her first dental office, she’s quickly found her home here and loves helping patients feel at ease. Outside of work, she enjoys working out, reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and animals.

Haney entered the dental field in 2010. Her favorite part of dentistry is making patients feel safe and helping them smile (by fixing their smile). When she is not working, Haney enjoys hiking, photography, painting, writing, and making music.

Office Dog
Gingi is Zubkov Dental’s official emotional support office dog—and proud pet of Dr. Zubkov! She plays an important role in helping patients feel calm and at ease during their visits. You’ll often find her napping near the front desk, greeting patients with tail wags, or making the rounds for a little attention. In her free time, Gingi enjoys hiking, playing frisbee, and being everyone’s favorite furry coworker.
